Translation – German to English (UK and US)
Proofreading/Editing – German to English, English to German, unilingual
Copywriting – In addition to offering pure translation services – i.e. converting a document into an exact copy of itself in another language – linguaetc Inc. also creates professionally written documents based on outlines or drafts of documents (which can be provided in either English or German). Recent work in this area includes a set of brochures for an investment firm wishing to advertise various new funds, which were created based on written notes provided by the client.
Rates
Rates are generally quoted on the basis of source word count, although certain types of documents (PDF) may be quoted on a target word or line basis (55 characters). Proofreading and editing services are quoted on an hourly basis, whereas copywriting services are provided on the basis of a flat project fee (by agreement).
